The aim of this competition was to raise awareness of a dental fund which is available to all young swedes.

About client

Forsäkringskassan insures everyone that lives or works in Sweden. The organisation provides financial protection for families and children, for persons with a disability, illness, work injury and in old age.

Challenge

To design a massively multiplayer online competition that placed several gift vouchers of known brands up for grabs on a first come-first serve basis, throughout regular competition time slots. The aim of the competition was to raise awareness of a dental fund which is available to all young people in Sweden.

Our solution

Fröjd developed a competition engine that would allow thousands of users to compete in real time against each other during pre-determined time slots in an attempt to win of the several gift vouchers available. Users could see the vouchers and attempt to click one before someone else got there first. As soon as a voucher was allocated to a player, it automatically disappeared from everyone’s screen in real-time.

Final result

The competition was a raving success with thousands of eager users simultaneously clicking away in an attempt to grab a gift. Throughout the entire duration of the competition, from day until night, vouchers were disappearing within milliseconds of becoming available as the clicking frenzy reached its peak.
