About the client
Vattenfall is a European energy company with 40 000 employees who produce electricity and heat from six different energy sources.
Challenge
The aim with this website was to showcase all of Vattenfall's energy sources across Europe. Visitors can filter through available information by energy source type and read about each of the available options. The website has been designed to be available in multiple languages.
Solution
An interactive map, with sorting, filtering and listing functions was created using HTML, CSS and Javascript. The user was able to navigate the website using Ajax controls, and it was a true challange to maintain backwards-compatibility with legacy browsers such as Internet Explorer 6 or non-JavaScript enabled readers.
Final result
Vattenfall has a user friendly and search engine optimized map, showcasing all their powerplants in a fun and intuitive way.
